for any changes. Revisions to the program supersede previously published information.
REGISTRATION: Registration is by mail or email. Registratons must be post-marked no later than February 15, 2010. A non-refundable processing fee of $100
($50 if student) is required. A printable registration form can be found elsewhere on this website. Print and

made payable to ACBHM, Inc. If you want to send a wire transfer, go to Registration / Wire Transfer page for bank information. Late registrations post-marked later than February 15, 2010, but before March 15, 2010, will be accepted if

to April 1, 2010. See Stage One page for further details.
Once your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation response
and be assigned a unique "CODEWORD" for identification throughout the competition.
The members of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial committee were sensitive that some participants might think
it inappropriate to be identified by a serial number. The commitee therefore intends to assign a CODEWORD based upon the names of YAD VASHEM'S Valley of Destroyed Communities, Jewish settlements from Eastern Europe which no longer exist.
Participants may submit more than one proposal, but each must be separately registered.
Should your team's composition change from the time of your intitial registration, complete and mail us a new registration
form. Registration implies acceptance of all terms and conditions, as set forth in its enitirety on the ACBHM website.
The decision of the Jurors is final. ACBHM, Inc. and its Jury are exempted from any and all claims arising from the dissatisfaction
of an entrant with the final verdict.

artists, designers, and others, either individually or in collaboratiion. A reduced fee for students currently enrolled in
a degree granting program is available. This project is viewed as an excellent opportunity for a multi-disciplinary approach,
involving diverse collaboration, but the formation of a collaborative team is not a requirement. There are no age, geographic
or residency requirements; however, requests for information and written materials accompanying entries must be in English. The competition will be conducted anonymously, without regard to race, religion, sex, ancestry, creed

PRIZES AND AWARDS: The Jurors, in the first stage, will select six to ten finalists and,
at their discretion, make up to six merit awards. Each finalist participating in the second stage will receive a stipend of
$2,500 for submission of a three-dimensional scale model and other
required materials. Upon choosing the winning design, and its approval by relevant governing bodies, ACBHM,
Inc. will enter into negotiations with the winning competitor for additional professional services and fees in connectiion
with the realization of the Memorial, either as consultant or contractor. If the winning competitor and ACBHM, Inc. are unable
to agree on terms for the construction phase, then the Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial committee shall be free
to select a contractor of its choosing, or another design. The committee reserves the
right not to construct the winning presentatiion, or any submission, depending on the availability of funding, approvals,
and guidance from government bodies, including the city of Atlantic City and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection,
and other circumstances that may prevail at the end of the competition.

USE OF SUBMISSIONS: ACBHM, Inc. reserves the right to display, reproduce
and publish submitted works for educational and public informatioin purposes. Submissions and presentations will not be returned

Credit will be given to participants in all such instances. No element of an unsuccessdul proposal shall be used in the final
memorial project without the express approval and compensation of the author of that specific proposal.

BUDGET: Although a final endowment has not been established at this time, a budget of between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 has been proposed for the realization
of the Memorial design, including all fees. At the first stage, competitors should view this budget figure as just a guideline,
and treat the integratiion of Memorial and site conceptually and schematically. At the second stage, each finalist will be
required to demonstrate the cost of implementing their proposed design to the Holocaust Memorial committee, with the expectation
that both the design solution and implementation budgets will be clarified at that time.
